UNITY FOUNDATION CAMEROON within the framework of achieving its vision created committees during their March 2017 extraordinary meeting in Yaounde that will work to attain specific goals laid down by the organization. During this meeting the board unanimously decided to extend the organization’s activities to the health sector for without a healthy body one cannot work a farm, play football or think accurately. These committees are;
1) EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The education committee is in charge of developing and executing projects that concerns education. The committee works to ensure the proper execution of the organization’s scholarship scheme which is carried out annually. It selects schools to benefit from the award of didactic materials and infrastructures, underprivileged children to benefit from the scheme. The committee as well will organize educational programs in local communities where schools will participate, run human rights and peace clubs in schools in collaboration with the peace and democracy committee.
2) AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE
This committee is in charge of developing and executing projects that concerns agriculture. It will carry our field work to identify potential projects and beneficiaries, develop these projects and submit to the secretariat for scrutiny by the board of directors. They will equally identify potential sponsors and propose to the chief executive officer or to the secretariat for follow up and ensure the organization of agro-pastoral shows and create awareness in local communities about national agricultural programs. As of now the committee comprises four members headed by a coordinator.
3) CULTURE and ARTS COMMITTEE
The cultural committee is in charge of organizing socio-cultural events, identifying, developing and executing projects on culture. The committee is equally in charge of proposing potential sponsors to the secretariat for follow up, create awareness in local communities about national and international cultural events, identifying potential artists for sponsorhip. The committee has three members headed by a coordinator.
4) SPORTS COMMITTEE
The sports committee is in charge of managing all sporting events, proposing projects to the board of directors, and equally developing and executing all sport projects. The committee writes funding proposals to donors. It is comprise of three members headed by a coordinator.
5) PEACE AND DEMOCRACY COMMITTEE
The peace and democracy committee is in charge of promoting peace through conflict resolution, management and prevention. It equally promotes democracy and good governance in local government areas. Its main projects focus on trainings through workshops, seminars and conferences. It manages peace and human right clubs in schools in conjunction with the education committee. It has three members of now headed by a coordinator.
6) HEALTH COMMITTEE
The health committee like others is in charge of developing and executing projects in the health sector, organizing educative talks on health. The committee has two members.
